Pit Boss
Floating Wastewater Evaporator
A floating evaporation system developed by WPD, the Pit Boss was developed as a result of requests from customers who choose to evaporate produced, FRAC, or other wastewater on site. The Pit Boss is uniquely suited for smaller pits such as the ones used in these applications and is available in two different models: the Portable Electric Generator model and the Pit Boss Trailer. The Trailer model includes the Pit Boss evaporation unit, a 12’ x 6.5’ single axle trailer, a Deutz diesel motor, a 1.5 hp Berkeley pump, and a 100 gallon reserve diesel tank. Pit Boss systems produce evaporation rates that are competitive with other disposal methods. Please note that evaporation rates are highly dependent on weather conditions such as ambient temperature and relative humidity.
